DESSERT RECIPE: Honey Bake of the Gods
Oh, what bliss!
I’ve often wished to taste true ambrosia, the food of the gods.
I think it has finally been revealed to me…
Below is one of the most lusciously decadent recipes of my life.
And one of the easiest to make, once you gather the ingredients.
Honey Bake of The Gods
Ovenproof Dish 8 x 12 – Bake for about 20 minutes at 325F / 170C – Equivalent to 24 big cookies
6 tablespoons of honey
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
16 ounces of shredded coconut, organic if possible
8 ounces of walnut bits, or chop whole nuts coarsely
6 ounces of dates, pit-free, chopped
2 ounces of golden Sultanas
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, coconut flour or flax seed flour
Easy Instructions:
In a large bowl hand blend the honey, beaten eggs and vanilla together.
Stir in coconut flakes and chopped nuts and mix thoroughly.
Add golden sultanas and keep mixing.
Sprinkle flour over the pitted and chopped dates and add them to the bowl, blending by hand.
Lightly grease your oven-proof dish with coconut oil spray (or an oil of your choice) and pour the mixture into it, spreading it evenly with the back of a spoon and tamping it down firmly.
Bake for 18-20 minutes at 325F or 170C until the top is toasted golden brown.
Spoon it into bowls to eat, or top it with yogurt, cream or ice cream if you feel like an extra splurge.
Thank the bees with a heart full of gratitude, not just for the honey, but for nearly every ingredient in this recipe… Enjoy!
