As we wrap up the week, we want to share that Google, in collaboration with The Honeybee Conservancy, created the most amazing Google Bee Doodle for Earth Day 2020.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the theme is Climate Action. Bees are heavily impacted by changing climates in more ways than we can imagine, from loss of habitat to unpredictable temperatures, and late blossoming of crucial early spring plants.

The doodle game is fun to play, no matter how old or young you are, as you guide the cute bee around the field, pollinating flowers and foraging for nectar and pollen.

This 1:56-minute video by the Times of India shows you a brief glimpse of the simplicity and beauty of the Google Bee Doodle for Earth Day 2020:

What better ‘character’ to spotlight for Earth Day than a bee, since bees represent abundant fresh food for humanity. Protecting bees is a large part of environmental protection. Bees are unmistakably one of the most impactful super organisms on the planet.

The Google Bee Doodle presents an amazing variety of facts about bees and is like a mini course in bee expertise.

This project, which was carried out in collaboration with The Honeybee Conservancy, teaches us all how to Save the Bees. Guillermo Fernandez, founder of The Honeybee Conservancy, pointed out there are 20,000 species of bees around the world, and in North America 1 of every 4 of the 4,000 native bee species are at risk of going extinct.

Bees pollinate 1 out of every 3 bites of food humanity eats, so it is easy to see how our survival depends on their survival. Bees are vital to the healthy ecology of planet Earth.

Please do something to protect bees, because we are all in this together.

Thank you Google for creating this delightful tribute to bees everywhere!
