Saturday, August 17, 2019 is National Honey Bee Day.

Let us honor the beloved honey bees for all their hard work and the magnificent treasures of honey, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax and pollen they share with us.

Let our hearts be filled with gratitude to honeybees for pollinating the crops we eat and and the trees and flowers we enjoy looking at as they beautify our world.

This is an amazing 2:15 minute video from World Bee Day earlier this year, and it is quite appropriate for National Honey Bee Day too:

Let's thank all the heart-centered beekeepers who truly love their bees... beekeeping is not always easy, especially these days with so many stresses and challenges.

Let's promise the bees of the world, and ourselves, that this year we will raise our own BEE awareness and help to educate at least one other person about bees, their self-sacrificing lifestyle and the challenges they face.

Without the honeybee our future would be bleak.

In gratitude, put a little fresh water out for the bees, plant some heirloom seeds that will bring forth pollen and nectar producing blossoms... let wild clover grow in your grass, stop using pesticides on your flowers, plant some rosemary and thyme... whatever you are moved to do... just please, do something.

Community is so important, and the honeybee community is a model example of everyone pulling together for the greater good of all.

Please support your local beekeepers.

Together, we can all make a difference.
