Today we will learn how to make mouthwatering honey chicken at home.

We chose the video made by The Art of Cooking which has been watched by over 3.6 million people. We like this video best because it is a very easy process, just follow along and you can’t go wrong.

The chef reveals the secret ingredients for the special honey sauce, and it takes just a couple of minutes to prepare it. A tasty sauce makes or breaks a dish, and this one is delicious, no doubt thanks to the most fabulous ingredient--honey.

Best practice is to watch this video all the way to the end. It isn’t long. Then scroll down and line up your ingredients. Watch the video again as you follow the steps to make yours.

For those who prefer not to deep fry, like me, he shares how to bake or pan fry it instead at around the 4-minute mark of the 5:46-minute video.

Check your supplies and see that you have everything you need.

Batter: Egg 1 Large * Salt 1/4 tsp * Garlic Powder 1/6 tsp * Cold Water 10 tbsp (1/2 cup +2 tbsp) or 147 mL * Baking Powder 2 tsp * Corn Starch 1/2 cup or 65 g * Flour 3/4 cup or 105 g * Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp

To pan fry or bake instead: Season the chicken with salt, pepper and a little garlic powder, then dredge the chicken pieces in a mixture of cornstarch and flour. Dip the breaded chicken in the beaten egg, then dredge them back through the cornstarch and flour mixture a second time. Then bake or pan fry.

Watch this video, only 5:46 minutes long, for how to prepare this dish.

Serve with white rice, fried rice or vegetables of your choice.
